I developed a nasty habit of blaming everyone else for everything that went wrong in my life. Problem is can make you bitter and nasty to others, it's also a form of burying your head in the sand rather than facing up to problems and their causes. Sure, sometimes other people are solely to blame, but not always so. Being able to objectively analyse a situation and causation can be painful (you learn things about yourself you'd rather not face up to) but ultimately beneficial (you can suss what's causing you grief in life and do something about it).
