Mass shooting in Toronto...

Shooter mentally ill... does that mean ppl like him are not responsible for their crimes?

I don't care how one labels them, what their motivation was or wasn't.....the key is to make sure they never hurt another. This idea of filling them full of psychotropic drugs and putting back out on the street is lunacy. A society must protect itself. For the bleeding hearts who think it cruel to imprison the criminally insane, let them put them in their house with their children and see if they feel the same.

Mentally ill or not, if he did it he’s responsible. There are plenty of mentally ill people out there who would never even think of doing something like that.

He was a Muslim wasn’t he? Shouldn’t we assume all terrorists are mentally ill by default

@MethDozer a lot of experts want to officially classify religious fundamentalism as a curable mental illness; there’s quite a bit of research on it. I wouldn’t disagree with this.

@GeistInTheMachine this man passed no psychological evaluations and was known to the OPP, that’s why people are so angry.

@Flenflyys Political fundamentalism should be as well.

I don't believe in cures for crazy though.

but how could this happen? I thought Toronto was a "gun free zone"....🤔

*note* it never matters how mentally unstable the shooter is, they always blame the gun...
MethDozer · M
Yeah, and they say it was not religious terrorism even though he had a bunch of ISIS shit on his computer history. 🙄
Wiseacre · F
@MethDozer yes or no?
MethDozer · M
@Wiseacre Does it make him any less responsible? Hell to the no, but a lot of " enlightened" folks say it does.

Personally I think being crazy makes you more in need of being held to the highest letter of the law, not less.
