what makes it a bad thing if entry level jobs have a little higher wage?

SW-User
Employers might replace human labour with machines. For example fast food kiosks started popping up as minimum wages increased. Other than that I see no harm in raising wages. The US in particular has such a disparity in wealth and it’s easy to see why so many choose a criminal lifestyle instead of the employment stream.

The cost of everything else will go up, wiping out any benefit from a slightly higher wage for the entry level employee but harming everyone else slightly. Multiply that by a few million jobs and you have an issue on your hands.

Let it happen naturally and the system will balance itself out. Force it and you'll destroy local job markets for those entry level positions. Force it nationwide and you'll screw over the entire job market.

Nothing.
BUT it's the age old question. The world's in a financial mess because employers haven't upped wages sufficiently
Less people have opportunities to get those jobs and those entry level jobs end up being over qualified
The government is so greedy that would throw the economy into a tail spin.

🤔.....Experience or lack of over someone with more experience and has spent more time on that particular job than entry level participants!
