@xRedx Yea, to start with you have to have a degree. The HUGE majority of people joining the military are fresh high school graduates looking for a job or a way to pay for college. After having a degree there's OCS, a ton of medical testing and then about 4 levels of pilot training that takes about a year to complete. After that you're a pilot.
Most people who work to become a pilot are in it for the long haul and make a career out of it.

My sis was in the forces for 14 years. Royal Navy. I applied for RAF a long time ago....

heh. and then the country serves you like wasted food for the dumpster to rot and still get fined because they took all your money for waste disposal and used it for their 4th jet.
