How do people fall out of love?

Like I hear my parents talking bout his sister and that her husband want divorce after 22 years of marrying and he says he just not love her anymore. He says he fell out of love with her.

When a couple are young and in love, they care for each other so much that they think, always, of pleasing the other. They compromise, they go to extra effort to make life wonderful for their spouse, they do those special little things...their words are sweet and kind. As the years pass, life becomes harder, the time they have for one another is less, and the beauty of youth is gone. There is very little physical charm left, as there was in youth, and neglect begins. Soon there is no more extra effort, no little surprises, no special gifts, no kind words...unkind words are substituted. Anger grows. And the couple see their life is ending in unhappiness. That is how people fall out of love.

It's possible that he was never actually in love with her to begin with, but had love for her. Seems like he just got bored of her.

As you get older, things change. Your desires and likes/dislikes change, your attraction to a different type of personality might be discovered. That's why people shouldn't marry at a real young age

These people want something more than what they have..or probably they run out of passion or no longer have the desire of bringing out the heat..
