@Stereoguy I do too, they don't mess with blood sugar like some of the other fruits do....and they have a bit of protein in them, and melatonin to help with sleep.
For the most part I enjoy doing the cooking and everything that comes along with it. Yeah, the cleanup sucks, but the yums I get from the kids and being able to start the morning out relaxed in our pjs makes the cleanup and work totally worth it.
I'd rather cook. For one thing I no longer eat grains or sugar so going out for breakfast would mean I'm having eggs and I can make those easily and for a fraction of the cost at home. If I want pancakes or waffles I can make them low-carb at home and in a variety of flavors, have made pumpkin pancakes a few times this past couple of weeks.
@Stereoguy I would have a sausage, onion, jalapeno, and cheese omelette with fried potatoes and wheat toast at this restaurant in my city named Delicious Temptations.
I'd choose go out, as most diners have special unique breakfasts - but that is not to say I don't enjoy my own specialty omelette sometimes.... peppers, cheddar and ham YUM!!
@Stereoguy My specialty is homemade cinnamon rolls. Big cinnamon rolls ,right from the oven, topped with cream cheese frosting and a bit of real butter. I usually get up way before everyone in the house, when it is still dark outside, because they have to raise. My family loves waking up to the smell of cinnamon rolls baking. That is all it takes to get them out of bed. Tomorrow, though, it won't be anything fancy. It will be a poached eggs on toast that has cream cheese on it and bacon.☺
