Is it normal to not have the butterflies when first meeting someone?

I went on first date with a guy this past Sunday and have been chatting with him and we seem to connect well but I noticed I do not have the "butterflies" when I speak to him or when I first met him. Is this normal or is this for high school kids related to butterflies?
