Is it normal to not have the butterflies when first meeting someone?

I went on first date with a guy this past Sunday and have been chatting with him and we seem to connect well but I noticed I do not have the "butterflies" when I speak to him or when I first met him. Is this normal or is this for high school kids related to butterflies?

I've never had butterflies when meeting a new romantic interest, anc it's never been indicative of how my feelings or lack thereof developed.

I was pretty calm and relaxed (well relatively speaking, I'm a socially nervous person :p) abdy not particularly excited when I met the guy I'm seeing now, and it's going great. ☺️
