I Love My Husband

My good hearted loving man is experiencing . . being down and out!
First his adored dog, Button passed away.
Then his stool test showed signs of cancer.. maybe... He goes for his .. check-in with the doctor who is giving him his colonoscope, this Monday.
Last Monday I asked him to help me with moving the bed. The dust bunnies were eating the dead ladybugs. OMG!
So, unknown to me he jumps right at it! It's a heavy bed!! All I needed was to get the headboard further away from wall so I could vacuum. He moved the whole bed out and about! Bless his heart!
Well, that put a whammy on his back to say the least. He complained but went the next morning to the feed store. Came home with hundreds of pounds of bird seed, corn for the deer and coal. Truck was loaded and by the time my good hearted, hard working, hard headed man was done. That was all his back wrote!
Since Tuesday he hasn't moved much. Been in and out of bed. I have applied cold and hot packs to his back. But he isn't getting well fast enough for his likings.

It bothers me to see him down and out. He is a proud man, worked hard all his life, worked out at the gym every single day and ran marathons, even rode his bike to work for 30 years. A healthy man.

This past week, I see it in his eyes. He feels … old. Nothing has ever brought him to a stop.
He worries over me as I hold down the fort. He worries over getting behind on wood. And me keeping the fire burning. He hates for me to wait on him.

I love my husband! We are good partners in life to each other.
I told him... I got your back darling! ;-)
He smiled from ear to ear!

Such a fine love. Men are so stubborn. Yet lovable. Update me on the diagnosis. How is yoyr other furbaby? You are blessed. So is he. And Sky too. Xxxxx

@PoetryNEmotion Went to two doctors today. One for his back, got a steroid and pain shot. Then to the Doctor who is doing the colonoscope. The procedure is this Wednesday at 8:30am. That was quick, normally there is a waiting time. So tonight I feed him well and no food tomorrow and he beginning his ...sigh.. cleansing.

Sky is almost back to normal. Eating great again but still a bit... tired. :-)
THANKS! xo
@Echoing Well, the physician doing the colonoscopy can pretty well tell with the camera on the scope if any polyp is cancerous. And a biopsy will be sent quickly to be analyzed. I am sending you positive vibes, my friend. The cleansing, yes. Just put a chair in the bathroom and a newspaper and books. And be prepared to...just shit. All day. His bowels must be clear when he is ready for the test or it will not be done.

Good for Sky. That dog is a survivor. Blessings to that dog too. And you too, my friend. Take care.
