Why do you think these televangelists ask for such specific amounts of money? [Spirituality & Religion]

Like one fellow asks for $58 while another fellow was asking for $273, I wonder why they ask such specific amounts of money.

Its a psychological trigger to people to nominate a number that sounds quite specific. If they have that number that are far more likely to give it than if you say "Give as much as you can".
