How has God answered your prayers recently? [Spirituality & Religion]

Anything specific?

I was diagnosed with diabetes in January and my sugar level is low enough now my doctor said he didn't consider me diabetic anymore. I did change my diet but after the first couple months they took me off medication and I lost a lot of weight so I feel God had his hands in my condition.
Congratulations! That’s so great! I had diabetes once. I dieted and walked, and don’t have it anymore. The nurses congratulated me. Made me feel proud. 😄

@LadyGrace that sounds a lot like what I did too.
@rjc36 Absolutely! Congratulations!

@AnonymousJSS why is it such a problem to you that I , like millions worldwide , have a real tangible faith in God?
AnonymousJSS · 22-25, F
@TheWildEcho Nah, not an issue to me. For the third time: I find it silly. That’s all.
For the second time: I just replied to this post like everyone else, don’t like my answer? Too bad, you should’ve expected atheists to reply to this post as well.

@TheWildEcho I'll answer this. It is a problem if your faith motivates you to impinge on the freedoms of those who do not share your views. If, for example, you believed that homosexuality is a sin and would wish it to be illegal because of your religious beliefs, that would be a problem. I have never thought The Bible to be a particularly good basis for ethics. After all, God apparently killed everyone on earth except for Noah and his family because he was pissed off that they were enjoying themselves. If that's your God, he's an asshole.
Yes. God is seeing me through my weight loss journey. Helping me stick with it. I used to never last a day, as far as commitment, but I asked God to help me, and this is my 18th day being faithful, and walking every day, which is a very big feat for me, as I’m walking bone-on-bone. That’s a miracle, as well. I’ve walked that way for 10 years.

He also answered my prayer for my sister to not be miserable taking her radiation treatments for her cancer. And also that they caught it in time. I’m so thankful to God for both.

God has done many miracles for me! I am writing a book because my whole life is one miracle after another! God has healed me completely many times, he comes through for me financially time and time again! I have prayed for spiritual healing and evil spirits to come out of people and I have seen a complete change in two family members after I fasted and prayed that were cursing and violent before and are Godly now! Jesus says " Ask me for anything in my name and I will do it"
I am a sort of missionary in California for a time but This is not my home!
Jesus says " ask me for anything in my name and I will do it" John 14:14
TheWildEcho · 56-60, M
@Carazaa wow that's amazing
Carazaa · F
@TheWildEcho sure is!
Yes! Big time! And I'll be writing about it, soon. A real miracle healing for someone I prayed for, with all the documentation. I witnessed it with my own eyes.

Every day I wake up, the sun is traveling across the sky, I am breathing, physics still works, I can think and see or hear, I see our Sustainer keeping this world going and not quitting on any part of it. I choose to view this as a reason not to drop any of my responsibilities for myself
Who is Sustainer? I’ve never heard of him. From where? @SW-User
SW-User
@LadyGrace God sustains EVERYONE
It is one of the names of our Creator

I thought you believe in God, Grace :0
I sure do. I just never came across that name in my Bible, is all. 😊@SW-User

I prayed something very specific for a friend and for the right words to say to them. He gave me the words and is answering the prayer that I specifically prayed for.
TheWildEcho · 56-60, M
@SW-User that's so good
SW-User
@TheWildEcho Yes it is. How about you? Any answered prayers?
TheWildEcho · 56-60, M
@SW-User yes God keeps blessing me in so many ways. I'm still praying for my friend Danny to become a Christian

Fantastic!! @Dewms
@Carazaa 😊 He is

@Dewms ❤️💕
I was taught to never pray for myself. I pray for others. It is hard to gauge what is answered and what is not. God isn't a PEZ dispenser. The "answer" might not be what I expect.
@Carazaa I was taught it is wrong to pray for oneself. So of one has a headache, one doesn't pray to be relieved of one's terrible pain. One prays for everyone who has a headache to be relieved of pain.
Carazaa · F
@CopperCicada ok its good to pray for others but it is not a sin to pray for yourself too. where did you hear that?
@Carazaa It was part of my religious instruction coming up. Never pray for oneself. Only others.

It's like pulling on my mom's apron yelling I'm hungry as opposed to setting the table so everyone can eat.

Many times with a very good financial income and giving me peace about the welfare of my family members.
I have also prayed for members here and I sincerely believe that God answers my requests.

ever heard of a quote [c=#800000]"the lord helps those who help themselves"[/c]?

around five or so years ago … acquired dvt (both legs). instead of having stints placed inside the veins … i started power-walking (weekdays/5mi & weekends/10mi).

the condition has almost totally disappeared … i owe the healing to god.
Yes, praise God! @muffinman
Pfuzylogic · M
@muffinman
Just to be clear what you quoted was taken from Benjamin Frankin and earlier Algernon Sidney. It isn’t from the Bible.
karysma · 31-35, F
Every other day. He's just [c=#003BB2]Awesoooome[/c] 😊
TheWildEcho · 56-60, M
@karysma He sure is!!!
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
He doesn't really do that. Normally he just messes with you to accomplish something for the greater good. If you just happened to want it too then he wasn't paying attention or you were the only one available.
God has no limitations. He doesn’t just mess with people because He’s bored or has nothing else to do. ☺️@Tastyfrzz
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
@LadyGrace He doesn't exactly jump in to help either.
No. Not when He doesn’t know them. @Tastyfrzz

By giving me a rest from witnessing to the skeptics on here and just hanging out with my brothers and sisters in the Lord.
TheWildEcho · 56-60, M
@GodSpeed63 you deserve it!
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@TheWildEcho Thank you. You deserve a rest also.
Ryannnnnn · 31-35, M
Gotta answer our own prayers. If there is a god it's created possibility and choice, and creation of reality through those choices. If there isn't it's the same way.

He bought me back to SW

what a swell dude

@ExtremeNext welcome back!

Considering that, for example, a child dies of starvation every 5 seconds and more than ten thousand people a day die from Malaria, belief in theodicy is an exercise in narcissism
Pfuzylogic · M
CookieLuvsBunny · 31-35, F
@Pfuzylogic

Highlighting someone's narcissistic beliefs is not narcissistic
Pfuzylogic · M
@CookieLuvsBunny
Your example is just a backwards way of attacking a belief system.

I am here, what are your other 2 wishes?
Velvety · F
I don´t send them...
malizz · 70-79, M
My wife is the answer to my prayers. Sometimes I think I should have prayed different.
malizz · 70-79, M
@malizz Unfortunately she has now passed away this morning. Just have to see what's in store next.
TheWildEcho · 56-60, M
@malizz I'm so sorry to hear that
xixgun · M
I'm sure, whether I'm smart enough to recognize it is another matter entirely.
Sunujing · 46-50, M
Too soon to tell

@Emosaur say for instance a parent let's their kid get away with everything. How do you think the kid will turn out?

AnonymousJSS · 22-25, F
@karysma I don't think a parent would punish their kid with eternal hell just for disobeying. So... I say you shouldn't compare the two.
