@AnonymousJSS I've been healed by God through prayer, I've seen others healed and I know the peace and joy and love that He gives

@TheWildEcho If there is a higher power AKA our maker, I assume they might've taken pity on you. We don't know if there's a higher power though, that was my point. Therefore, organized religion and strongly believing in a certain god, and his rules seems pretty silly to me.

I think the placebo effect is the most parsimonious answer rather than positing the existence of a deity who cares about you. Occam's razor, mate.
