I Want To Quit Eating Sugar

I think I want to take this plunge again. I cut sugar from my diet almost completely several years ago, and I lost a ton of weight as a result. I need to do it again, since I have gained probably 20 pounds since moving to Texas. Yuck.

It's hard to find "easy" foods that don't contain added sugar, so I will be eating a lot of homemade soups and raw veggies and fruits. (I allow myself to eat fruit even though it does contain sugar, it is not added sugar) I did it before, I can do it again. It sucks to go through the withdrawals, though!!!

I probably should do this. Would be interested to know how you beat the cravings.

@nowic2 I curbed cravings by eating an apple or orange every time my cravings got to be more than I could stand. And if I craved chocolate, I made "healthy" dark chocolate by melting coconut oil, cocoa powder, and a bit of stevia sweetener, and pouring it into candy molds. I'd add pecans or almonds sometimes too. It was healthier than going out and buying a real candy bar.

@DearAmbellina2113 I will have to build up to it. I can handle the fruit aspect & will just have to see how desperate it gets. Thanks for the advise & all the best to you.
