Trump's weak, and immature. That's why he can't let [b]anything[/b] even inanely unflattering roll off his back. He's always bragging, but that [b]and[/b] the fact that he has to address [b]any[/b] criticism coming his way makes it clear he's less than what he claims. It was obvious when he ran, and being president hasn't changed his nature. Mostly he's afraid a press he doesn't "own" (like Fox or Breitbart) will tell the truth about him.
@bijouxbroussard: The illuminating thing for me is how he talks tough and berates world leaders (both allies and enemies)from afar , yet once he is confronted in person by them he is as nice as pie. He has done it time after time since taking office and proved just how much of a coward he really is.

@Brando: Trump is working very hard to WIN the propaganda battle with Putin. And if he can gain complete control of the press, which he is clearly working toward, we'll have our own TASS (Fox News) which will supply US citizens with the state-approved news for the day.
@Brando: From what I've seen, many of them already believe that what they see from the free press, and the things they see with their own eyes, isn't real. I don't think it is a big step from where things are now.
hi bookerdana Sure anything is sane if you have the power to agree it is so. Merkel, for example, has just made Gay Marriage a matter of conscience for her Christian Democrat Political Party which will allow The Social Democrats to make Gay Marriage legal in Germany finally. In the past this would have been an insane idea to redefine marriage as being anything other than between a man and a woman for the purpose of procreation. Times change, in this case for the progressive better. Trump and others who share his political views will test measures of sanity and all you list above but according to his own agenda. No doubt Trump thinks Merkel has had a hissy fit or two also. Best wishes :)

My concern is he is not a fool and he has plans which threaten The World such as his climate change denial agenda. hi pezzza I am sure Trump has no grasp as you say but as for art well I disagree. You may be right of course but I think Trump is a different type of politician with his own agenda entirely and he has achieved The Presidency which nobody expected. I think he is very dangerous and laughing at him sort of works to his agenda. Like Boris Johnson he plays the fool effectively although Trump does so as an aggressive clown. Maybe they will both blow it but I think they reach new constituencies of voters and political activists and both are dangerous and clever. Best wishes :)
