What do you think of the following statement?

It is not sentient, it does not [i]want to live[/i].

Indeed some would even dispute that it is a living organism as it cannot reproduce without the machinery of other cells.

We should distinguish between value judgements like "And it also [i]deserves[/i] to live." and others like "And it should not be exterminated because it is a necessary part of the ecosystem."

I'm not claiming that the latter applies to SARS-COV-2 or any other corona virus but it does apply to other organisms that some would rashly exterminate.

I think in many ways it is something people seem to often forget and overestimate the power of human capital versus nature and every other living thing,which leads to the abuse of it for our self interest until it threatens our own quality of living

@YMITheWayIM I'm not saying a virus is a living thing equal to us I'm saying it is the result that threatens our quality of living when we consistently create a threat to other living beings . And it is simply Keynesian economics

They have no cells, are unstable and cannot survive apart from a host.

Over 3 million people were living organisms before covid took them, they didn't deserve to die that way. You can't choose to allow 1 organism to live and kill other organisms as well as economies for the very simple fact that it is live. That is pure bullshit

I don't mind sharing the planet with all other living organisms, but I would rather they live outside my body. When they do, I let nature do its thing and have my own programming, with a little help from Pfizer, take the helm.
