It is frightening what is happening to the GOP at the moment. More frightening than that is the possible effects on Democracy in the US.

Sad and true. They are admitting that unless you lie and believe Trump's lies, there is no place for you in the Republican Party.

Liz Cheney committed the unforgivable ... she sought protection from fellow Republicans in the Democrats' bunker, the Washington Post, and seeded the headlines of all the leftist media.

I don't really care about her streetfight with Donald Trump. It was her Benedict Arnold maneuver, who took his disagreements with Washington to the British. It's why John McCain was never president.

Not all conservatives like Donald Trump. Some do, some don't. But are there any conservatives who have a favorable opinion of the US leftist media? Congratulations Liz. You have probably earned an appearance on the View and probably an invitation from Jimmy Kimmel, and 2 dozen rounds of "she's a jolly-good lady" by the mainstream media. But neither Jimmy, nor the ladies on the view, nor likely anyone in the mainstream media will vote for you.

It's okay, actually. Cheney will likely lose her post, and that's fine. The GOP is in a death spiral, and sooner or later they'll reorganize with renewed focus and maybe even a little integrity. Those who stood the fires of this cult of personality will emerge unscathed and respected. Someone will have to lead the new GOP, and it won't be McConnell and the Dinosaur Gang.

I don't like Cheney's politics or DNA. She opposes most things I support, but given the chance to debate with thoughtful, purposed people with greater interests at heart than their status and income, I'd choose her any day over most other Republicans.

Certainly looks that way.
