What made the big USA cities so ghetto?

Democratic run cities always turn into shit holes. Nancy and her fellow dems are ok with that as they live in gated mansions and don't care about people. Here is a pic of her district.

I say Democrats cause they want people to depend on the government!!!

theres multiple things at play...
1. affordable housing units...basically its hard to get people out once theyre in
2. bad education funding. the same people in the same locations send their kids to the same schools, it builds a subculture.
3. repeat that for 2-3 generations and basically, it builds out that subculture, its something thats hard to get people out of.
to say democrats did it would be simplistic in my view, arguably its the entire society decided they dont want to deal with these problems and put them all away in one place together, and then it became a cycle.

A complex combination of:
- People with their culture
- An economic framework in which these people function
- The economy itself
... all set in process over time.

Most are really not that bad. Obviously, this is a less safe country than Europe, etc.
