Trump Wins Iowa Caucus

There are some people that weren't even aware that Republicans had a caucus in Iowa yesterday too. It's not well reported for some reason - 🤣

But Trump ran away with about 98% of the votes.

The democrats - the ones that want to run YOUR healthcare - Medicare for all - haven't completed the process. There's all kinds of excuses, lot's of meltdowns and plenty of embarrassment. Maybe they are pausing for dramatic effect - you know make an announcement right before Trump's State of the Union Address tonight. Cuz, let's be honest, Trump will have so many good things to report about the state of the union - things have never been better! [Well, except if you're a democrat - in that case the view may look kind of sucky.]

So, what do you think went wrong for the dems in Iowa?

What do I think went wrong?

Everything. The left is an absolute dumpster fire. They want to turn a Constitutional Republic into a socialist/communist dunghole....and they deserve to reap whatever their corruption and complete incompetence sows.

@QuixoticSoul You are so humble!

@Budwick 🤷‍♂️

@Budwick Exactly, they made a big deal out of the fact that they wouldn't let DHS check for security issues.

TexChik · F
Bernie won it and the DNC isnt going to allow it ... Bernie will likely run as an independent , further splitting the lib vote ... 👍🏻
TexChik · F
@Budwick the media made a huge deal about his last rally .., 3000 people . They also gave out free booze and had music . If Trump had only 3000 at a rally , he would cancel it!
@TexChik @Budwick
You are both spot on. Bernie is a commie, and far too transparent for the DNC's liking. The dems screwed Bernie over in 2016 even though it was doubtful he could have beaten Hillary. Today, Bernie is a front runner. The DNC will thrown him under the bus...figuratively for sure...literally is even possible.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@BizSuitStacy Biz - You are right on target!
Another case of 'Arkancide' - a clear possibility.
I mean, Bernie passing from a 'heart attack' certainly provides plausible deniability. [For millennials wondering what I mean - look it up in the democrat playbook. It's something every democrat needs to know, understand and utilize.]

I've been listening to the news very carefully, and apparently the app that was used was well tested in advance, and it was NOT hacked. It was backed up with a paper trail, and that was fortunate, because the app crashed.

It was overloaded, and either the server or the app itself did not have the capacity to take that much information that quickly. There were 700,000 voting sites statewide. It was probably not considered that when the polls closed, all the numbers for three sets of data would be transmitted almost simultaneously...so...number of democrat voters in Iowa times three.

There was also a supportive telephone service, and the various voting sites were supposed to be able to use it to call in their numbers if the app failed, and the phone system also crashed due to overload.

A voting center manager, in one instance, reported waiting on hold for over an hour and a half, unable to get through. Some of the voting centers decided to load their votes into trucks and take them physically to Des Moines.

So...it's all being counted by hand. AND it appears that some inconsistencies are coming to light. Basically, don't hold your breath.

It also seems that Iowa will no longer be THE state for caucuses in the future.

@BizSuitStacy You have to wonder, don't you. Everyone was sure the Dems would try to do something to screw Bernie again...and I wonder if this was what they came up with.
@4meAndyou I have heard the sabotage speculation, and I won't say it's not possible. But it would be easy to manipulate the data instead of turning a mobile app rollout into a disaster.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@BizSuitStacy @4meAndyou The REALLY hard part id coming up with a scheme that somehow implicates Trump.

The truth is not an option!

I think Biden lost big time and they don’t want to disclose it.
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
@Budwick or they haven't found anyone that can count🤷‍♂️

Maybe ask Putin
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Virgo79 Ouch!
That one hurt!
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
@Budwick feeling it I guess😂
Trump said that the Dem's are unfair, that they lie and they don't care how they win. He does have a history of accusing others of who he himself is and the things that he has done. He wasn't elected by majority, humiliated himself at midterm and after his trial attornies presented their "liar, liar pants on fire" non-defense to the Senate, we'll have to wait until after his State Of The Union speech tonight and the trial vote tomorrow to see if hell froze over yet for him to get re-elected.

@softspokenman Which consumers are we talking about? I am comfortable, not rich, not poor.
@Roadsterrider All the ones in his wet dreams of constant adoration from his bewildered and confused base supporters.
Roadsterrider · 56-60, M
@softspokenman You seem to be the only one confused, my apology for interrupting. Ramble on.
My gosh, do you ever talk about anything else on this site?
@latinbutterfly Yes. Diapers and spanking are ever-popular topics.
@latinbutterfly Nope. Never.
@LeopoldBloom Unfortunately, yes 😝.

No one's running against Trump, fool. The two most serious contenders are an unknown government official and a local businessman. Trump very vocally ensured things would be this way.

As for the IA caucuses, that's a function of Iowa and a new system. It's got nothing to do with the Democrats. The Republicans are subject to the process, too. Nice try making a state's voting process and partisan issue.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@BizSuitStacy Ah, the rubber & glue argument. Appropriate for the age group using it.
@Graylight Comical. The current democrat platform is built on a lack of accountability. Cancelling student debt, free college, Medicare for all, guaranteed living wage, free housing, open borders, sanctuary cities/states.
And local politics in the leftiest locales promote homelessness, drug use, and do not enforce laws against property crimes.

I recommend you stop sniffing glue.

The faulty smartphone app behind the chaotic aftermath of Iowa’s Democratic caucuses was the work of a little-known company called Shadow Inc. that was founded by veterans of Hillary Clinton’s unsuccessful presidential campaign, and whose previous work was marked by a string of failures, including a near bankruptcy.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Graylight Mouth business, eh?
Id that anything like making money giving blowjobs?
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Budwick Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot - I don't speak stupid. "Word of mouth: spoken language; informal or unofficial discourse."

Next up: "Integrity."
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Graylight Oh, so - some people did some things.
Got it.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
What does Trump plan to do with the 2% that didn't vote for him? Are there enough prisons for the unfaithful?
dommagic · M
Delusional things must be contagious then because after seeing some of your inane rambling you’ve obviously got it bad @Budwick
Budwick · 70-79, M
@dommagic That's just what Windbag would say!
I'm tellin ya dude- it's Friday, ask him out!

And make you jealous? @Budwick

The whole thing only exists so that once every four years Americans remember that Iowa even exists.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Budwick I don’t know about Obama, the category that should probably concern you is the one Buckley put you into.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@QuixoticSoul
I don’t know about Obama
He was the first black president.
2009 - 2017

He fucked up government big time.
You would have liked him.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Budwick Obama was ‘aight - but I was talking about Buckley’s famous brag about chasing the kooks and bigots out of the conservative movement. Looks like you snuck back in.
xixgun · M
Lack of focus on the job. They're too busy "trying to get him" that they forget that in the real world, you don't always get to work with people you like.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@xixgun
they forgot the real world
I totally agree.

The Iowa caucuses are noteworthy as the first major contest of the United States presidential primary season. The Dems are going to lose and they know it.
MrAboo · 36-40, M
Their plan for the nation isn’t nearly as great as President Trump’s and Iowans know it
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
Maybe someone they didn't want it win🤔
Not sure why winning due to low voter turnout is a point of pride.
@Budwick You mentioned it in your opening statement. Keep up.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow No, you opened the low turn out Sparky.

The word 'low' mentioned three times on this page. First by you, then by me in my responses to you.

Wake up.
@Budwick Congrats on hitting new lows in reading comprehension.
You people have overused the word “communist” to the point that it’s become meaningless. If Bloomberg is the nominee, Trump will call him a communist FFS. The left has done the same with “Nazi” and “fascist.”

Bernie isn’t even a socialist by European standards. He’s a capitalist who supports regulation and a robust welfare state. But keep screaming “commie;” no one cares.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@LeopoldBloom No used the word 'communist' until you got here Hazel.
I'm just guessing here, but the path cleared for Bloomberg definitely upset some in the Democratic contention, especially Elizabeth Warren. It upset Micheal Moore, too, but who's he in this other than a Sanders supporter? https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/michael-moore-dnc-bloomberg
