What do you make of this "stable genius" claim?

"Japan only buys wheat from the USA... out of pity."

Is Baby-trump spiraling out of control on an accelerated basis now?

You mean like the trains to Hawaii?
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@sunsporter1649 Does Trump want to ride a train to Hawaii? 😆
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@sunsporter1649 AOC might not be the brightest person in congress - but you're too dumb to understand what she's getting at and it's not even complicated... fucking ouch dude.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@QuixoticSoul So enlighten those of us who are not smart enough to see the glorious future predicted by riding trains
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@sunsporter1649 See what I mean? You too stupid to even understand the context.

But stupidity is an armor, of sorts. You're literally immune to flygskam 😂
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@QuixoticSoul Typical liberal, can not defend their positions with intelligence, so resort to personal insults
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@sunsporter1649 You don't even know what position we're discussing here, because you're fucking retarded - yeah, that's worth of mockery.

Let's start with how nobody is proposing we run trains to Hawaii - yet, anyway, let's see how UAE's project works out.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@QuixoticSoul You telling me she is a stable genius?
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@sunsporter1649 Well she's a fuckload smarter than you, at least. You don't even understand the basics of the issues you're attempting to discuss.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@sunsporter1649 AOC has set extremely sky high goals in her “Green New Deal“ but at least she is attempting to address the issues of greenhouse gases that clearly impacts our planet.

Most if not all of Trumpets still believe that Climate Change is a hoax. And neither of us will be alive in 80 years so maybe we shouldn’t give a shit if the planet becomes toast. Am I right?

@sunsporter1649 The train to hawaii thing was from a satire article. It isn't an actual thing.

What AOC actually said was that she would like a high speed rail network that would make air travel less necessary.

"build[ing] out highspeed rail at a scale where air travel stops becoming necessary." Obviously doesn't mean build a train to Russia or build one to Tokyo or something.

The resolution was for transportation systems within the United States, which probably means the mainland. For example, reducing green house gases by building a train system between LA and SF, instead of needing to take a fuck ton of planes.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@SW-User Well said. Maybe he will understand your words. But I doubt it very much.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@SW-User Ah, but see - our friend suffers from black and white thinking, so "less air travel" miraculously becomes "ban air travel".
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@SW-User Gee, and all this time I thought there were trains between LA and Frisco. I even remember the Federal Government giving California $5 Billion to improve service. Wonder where all that money went?
SW-User
@sunsporter1649 Key word: Highspeed trains. They wanted a bullet train that just went straight through, but there was an issue with that. You can hardly call a 10 hour train ride (with transfers) high speed or efficient when you can just take a plane to LA from SF and get there in an hour and a half, which pretty much defeats the purpose of trying to lower the amount of green house gases from air travel.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@SW-User Maybe they can use the cow farts to up the speed....
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@sunsporter1649 The money went into the initial stages of construction for the high speed rail project. It’s still ongoing.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@QuixoticSoul LOL, except Gov. Nobrain cancelled the project, and the Federal Government wants the $1 Billion back, which of course those wonderful folks have refused to return. The project was already millions overbudget, and the initial estimates of $33 Billion for construction were vastly understated, which is no real suprise
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@sunsporter1649 As usual you are uninformed. The project continues. It was scaled back, not cancelled.

The costs keep going up because the value of the land that needs to be purchased keeps going up. Welcome to California real estate 😂

The longer the government sits and frets about costs, the more expensive it will get.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@QuixoticSoul Wadda ya bet the Union Pacific could have told them that back when Gov. Moonbeam proposed it, which is why no corporation had not already done it. Another California brilliant idea to save the world goes down the tubes. When youse guys gonna learn to get out of the way and let those who know something about running a business run the business?
