Yeah sounds normal.

Victimhood at its finest
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
Sorry. But there is a running gag in every University I know of..
"How many first year Arts students does it take to change a light bulb?"
"Its a trick question.. Thats a third year subject."
An Arts degree doesn't even qualify you to work a drive through. Who on earth tells these people to take Arts??
MarineBob · 56-60, M
@whowasthatmaskedman almost as useless as a degree in golf course management
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@MarineBob Here thats a vocational (apprenticeship) course. I actually know someone who did it and is a green-keeper. He got laid off after more than ten years and struggled to find work. My son took Business and after ten years wanted a year off, and had headhunters chasing him all over. When he decided he was ready to go back he walked into six figures within a ten minute walk from their apartment. What you study matters..

They have plenty of degree programs.... College of the Ozarks
SW-User
All degrees are useless though, college is useless in general lmao.
@SW-User nope. Sorry my degree is in engineering. My degree rocks
ScrewThisImDone · 26-30, F
That's pretty much how they think, sadly...
windinhishair · 61-69, M
1--Don't go to college
2--Get as little education as possible
3--Work menial jobs
4--Watch Fox and listen to Limbaugh
5--Blame non-whites for your inability to get ahead
6--Vote Republican, as you are told

Murica. Freedom. Liberty.

Yeah, not a lot of call for fine arts... Should have chosen a science, or something else useful...
@Quizzical I did. Engineering. Electronic/elecrical. Going back for a Masters

Hell I think the guys name is Scuba something, always doing plane stuff. That dude is right, plenty of trade schools

College isnt right for everybody
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@Tiredandlonely People tend to get 'directed' towards them though. It's purely a money making exercise...

MasterLee · 56-60, M
@ScrewThisImDone no job opportunities after graduation
Anonymouslyyours86 · 36-40, F
Well with art yes you go to college you need to be seen by the right people not apply for jobs
@Anonymouslyyours86 that is not the American mindset.

I have degree pay me me make money
Anonymouslyyours86 · 36-40, F
The thing with art if you are noticed you get paid more than an engineer for one art piece but that’s if someone notices and there are people looking for ideas all the time and willing to pay for it.@Tiredandlonely
Anonymouslyyours86 · 36-40, F
@Tiredandlonely a lot of artists work with engineers

@Kingfish28 then what?
MarineBob · 56-60, M
We have a fine college here in Missouri that the students must work for their tuition, and take a class on patriotism

I suppose everyone here bashing this person will tell me that it is also her fault corporate America requires a BA to pour coffee and that a high school deploma is as good as being a dropout in terms of prospects.
