Voter ID? Hold on there ....

Democrats in the USA are dead set against anything that would render the elections fair and honest. They know that without the illegals and dead people voting, they'd never get elected to anything.

The libs can't win without cheating. Sadly the sheep can't admit that.

If every single American was provided with a voter ID, it wouldn't be voter suppression. The suppression comes into play when voter ID is selectively applied to make it harder for the poor and minorities to obtain one. I'm glad you agree.

@windinhishair so if you own property in all 50 you get 50 votes?

@Deadcutie The Trump kids are registered in several states. States don't always do a good job of culling their voter rolls when people move. In theory, it might be possible for people to vote in several locations. In practice, there is little evidence that it is a big problem. Being able to check multiple jurisdictions in real time would prevent even that small possibility.

By the way, Texas had major issues with their voter ID and suppression efforts a few years ago. Their 2012 law was struck down as unconstitutional, then the portion of the Civil Rights Act cited in the ruling was struck down by the Supreme Court, putting voter suppression back in play. In the 2014 election, many people had trouble voting, especially women who would have different names (maiden and married, for example) on their IDs. People who had voted over 50 years with no issues suddenly had to cast provisional ballots. Texas also decided to accept gun registration as a valid ID (because those tend to be Republican voters), but not a valid student ID (because those people tend to be Democratic voters). Different states play all kinds of games to get the results they want.

@windinhishair I’m referring to state issued ID and drivers license..
If people can’t get their official names corrected on their official documents, then that’s on them... Gunn licenses you gotta provide other verifiable identifications to get one, so in a way they are official, however school IDs aren't verified. They don’t have address and information like that.. they are more for library /school use and to get discounts at places...

I have no problems forcing everyone to have a voters card, we can have a little booklet like my passport, that contains your voter card, drivers license, social security, miniaturized birth certificate, medical insurance and health information, and licenses you acquire for work and stuff.. all in a nice passport like book

There is no reason not to have voter ID unless one wants to cheat.
AbbeyRhode · F
@SW-User Nail on the head. That's why it's the Democrats violently opposing it.
SW-User
@AbbeyRhode And why they don’t see that is ludicrous.
AbbeyRhode · F
@SW-User They are becoming arrogant, and not even trying to hide their evil faces any more. That will be their undoing.

Funny you should bring India up. It’s not really the principle of the thing - it’s the execution - like when it’s a transparent attempt to decrease turnout by a particular segment of society.

India is a lot more flexible than proponents of voter ID in the states tend to be.
“India allows the use of fifteen different types of identification, ranging from property documents to arms licenses to income tax identity cards. Included, too, are forms of identification most likely to be possessed by the poor.... For instance, voters can present ration cards issued to the poor to allow them to buy food staples and kerosene oil at subsidized prices.”
Interesting. The subject of this thread is the federal government issuing voter ID cards for free to all citizens. One would think no one would object to that. Then there is you. I recommend that you start a thread taking potshots at whoever you want because theta is totally off topic. @QuixoticSoul

@jackjjackson We do these things state by state here in the US - our elections are not overseen or facilitated by the feds. Not sure what you’re suggesting here is even constitutional.

Don’t know. @QuixoticSoul

Every illegal vote cancels a legitimate vote.
