The largest defeat on a government motion EVER in British history.

432 MPs voted against the deal, only 202 voted in favour. Theresa May says she will allow Labour or other opposition parties to debate a no-confidence motion in the government tomorrow which, if it succeeds (including conservatives voting against themselves) will result in a general election.

The future of the UK could be in the hands of these 10.

@SW-User Religous nut jobs!!
I hope the decision England makes is good for England. I hope the best for dear old Mum. Naturally I am against anything that harms the autonomy and original culture of a nation, but it is up to the people of England to do what they think is best.

@puck61 hmm and if only the pilgrims had thought that in the 16th century or the Christians that came to Celtic Britain before the first millennium. There wouldn't be the culture you claim to be protecting then at all. Multiculturalism and migration has been what has shaped all cultures throughout history I can't see it changing.
@SW-User You ever walk down the streets of Beijing? Moscow? Mumbai? Riyadh? Tehran? There is a big difference between natural selection and sociological suicide. You know what I'm talking about.
SW-User
@puck61 honestly I don't they are all different because of different history, culture, weather, current politics, economic situation etc. But all populated by humans the same as me

The best* thing was when May appealed across the aisle to call for cooperation with other parties... after two years, one general election, a pulled vote, a defeated vote and many lies. It was met with howls of derision.

*By best, I mean in terms or gallows humour about bat-shit crazy and dangerous incompetence, which is Brexit humour.
firefall · 61-69, M
@Burnley123 between Brexit and Trump, we have a surfeit of gallows humour :(

I laughed so hard. What a fucking mess
supersnipe · 61-69, M
@agonyaunt She (May) certainly has a talent for rubbing people up the wrong way. All those catty comments and talking down to people, the gaffes (Boris Johnson? Foreign Secretary?). The lack of self awareness (General election? I'll walk it!) It's all coming home to roost now. I am sick of her manner, I am sick of her arrogance and I am sick of that face. As for being funny, she was once, but I stopped laughing when the Windrush scandal broke. Joke's over.

On the plus side, the Pound was up, following the vote, so when you want to go abroad, to forget about your home troubles, your Pound will stretch farther.
firefall · 61-69, M
@Northwest if you're quick about it

SW-User
@thatscottishguy It was just the once, I think I got away with it.
@thatscottishguy let's build a wall boxing westminster in and save the rest of us from all this
thatscottishguy · 26-30, M
@AndrewtheAlu They'd still find a way to fuck everything up.
