Gen. Flynn to Be Sentenced Today. Mueller Recommends No Jail Time. Trump Tweets 'Good Luck' at 6 AM.

If you lie to the FBI, will Mueller recommend YOU spend no jail time?

Mueller got caught with his dick in a rat trap. Flynn’s please will get tossed. Mueller and Comey’s Gestapo tactics are being exposed and the whole narrative is unraveling.

@jackjjackson Did he? And if he did, why lie about it if it was so above board?

Thw judge wasn't impressed with him.

So? That judge won’t see him again. He conflicted himself with his intemperate comments. @HerKing

@jackjjackson Whether the same judge sees him again is a moot point. It remains that Flynn (a convicted felon and prostitute of the US and western best interests) has been wished well by Trump. I'm certain you wouldn't have had such a sanguine view if say it had been Obama to Susan Rice if she'd been in a similar position to where Flynn is now. I wonder why Trump is so protective of Flynn who has had multiple interviews with Mueller's team, but not with Cohen? Interesting....

The recommendation isn't based on Flynn's lies, though it does take them into account. Apparently Flynn significantly cooperated with Mueller, to the extent that in Mueller's estimation, the value of his cooperation mitigated his original lies. The judge isn't bound to the recommendation, so Flynn won't be out of the woods until sentencing is completed.

In other words, you're saying if you lie to the FBI you'd better hope to have some bigger fish to deliver or you're screwed.

Some justice system.

@beckyromero You have a valid point. It is the value judgment of the prosecution weighing both the lies and the information obtained. Apparently, at least one meeting that was unknown to the Mueller team was admitted to.

Papadopolous got a 14 day sentence based on what he lied about and was able to offer. Cohen got three years, though Cohen was in a different jurisdiction, which also comes into play.

Justice will of necessity require judgment when criminal rings are involved.
