So Sean Hannity thinks it's "offensive" and "wrong" that Barack Obama said American troops killed civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan.

And yet people seem to think that neoconservatives are the "politically incorrect" party. Yet here's one of the most prominent and popular neocon pundits clutching his pearls and needing a safe space from someone stating a confirmed fact.

So where are you, free speech warriors? Where's Ben Shapiro and his fans, and all their rhetoric of "facts over feelings?" What about Jordan Peterson, or Dave Rubin, or Steven Crowder? And all their supporters? Why are you not all in a frenzy about how Hannity is a triggered little snowflake? You're silent. I'm listening real damn hard and I can't hear y'all.

"If someone from the other side said it, or suggested it, it must be wrong. If someone from my side said it, or suggested it, it must be right, or at the very least, not wrong." Such is the dismal state of American politics. Both parties.

@VeronicaPrincess I think Chomsky was onto something like that.

On to it? Or in to it?

Damn straight.

Right-wing youtube is so far up itself that its ridiculous. It literally creates and alternate reality in order to frame and then 'win' its arguments. None of these people really engage with left-wing arguments as they stand, just the flakiest of flaky straw-man inventions. I've never actually met a post-modern neo-Marxist but apparently; they control every corporate HR department, every social science lecture hall, the media and so on. Perhaps I'm wrong though and maybe David Graeber has the same political views as Mark Zuckerberg and those trans-gernder activists are the same as Stalin. Like Crowder's Ted Cruz frat-boy nephew persona, it's all an attempt to make supporting the vested interests of wealth and power look cool and edgy somehow to white middle-class outsiders who never read books.

@CountScrofula Yeah man. Its great. I think I recommended it to you actually. A lot of her videos are great but she has gone a bit niche recently.

@Burnley123 Yeah, I love it but I feel like I need more than a my single intro philosophy course.

@CountScrofula She is really great and a fantastic human being too. I studied a bit of post-modernism at uni and thought it was pretentious BS. Postmodernist academics always understood themselves as intellectual adversaries of Marx.

I think Contra has the best channel on Youtube. Secular Talk and Minority report are sometimes good but Youtube is largely dominated by right-wing cultural warriors. They are well funded too. Minority Report outed that Ruben is funded by the Koch brothers. He refuses to debate them because he likes free-speech so much...

Hannity has also quite likely never subjected himself to the full 17 minutes of 'Collateral Murder.'

Like 90% of the US.

Give young men weapons of death. Then insert them into a foreign land they couldn't pick out on a map, making them bout as popular as Beelzebub. What could go wrong?

I do get your point. But Hannity is a sedative makes the masses feel better about poor decisions.

(I just wanted to get square on the true definition of snowflake.) BTW, you are going a little bit snowflake over this issue 😉.

I think everyone who has ever heard Sean Hannity knows he is a fairly rabid Trump defender and Obama and Hillary hater. We don't go off the rails every time Don Lemon of CNN says something Trump hating or stupid, and I think we need to recognize that right and left wing media pundits are going to let off steam like teakettles and hate on their pet hates like true haters.

@4meAndyou That isn't what a snowflake is. And, I'm not a millennial.

A snowflake is someone who gets offended by things whether they be differing opinions or even established facts, and they try to claim the person who stated the thing that offends them should be shut down for it. It has nothing to do with millennials.

@BlueMetalChick You can try to change the definition all you want, but if you are tiptoeing into the territory of the actual definition. I don't want to bug you, but it does seem to me that you are taking offense extremely easily.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@4meAndyou And you think Urban Dictionary is the source of the definition? Nobody trusts a UD definition.

I'm not offended, I'm angry that Sean Hannity is offended. Because how could you possibly find it offensive when someone says something that is simply true.

When are facts offensive and wrong?

...on Fox News, the fair and balanced network,
adhane05 · 31-35, M
I think it's more of a bad opinion issue more than a free speech issue. From my perspective, Hannity isn't trying to shut Obama down for what he said. I will say that I am conservative, but I really don't care about what Sean Hannity has to say and I never listen to him. I'm a bit surprised Obama said it because I actually agree with him for once.
Xuan12 · 31-35, M
They're all PC snowflakes, they just want it their own way.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
But that's... asinine. It happened. It's fact.
