If America is such a racist country that oppresses minorities

Anyone paying attention can clearly see that the left drags out the race card when they're losing the argument. It's supposed to change the subject so you won't notice how utterly dumb they are. Like you didn't already know.

These things have little to do with each other. We'd have to be running an absolute apartheid state to make things more oppressive than some of the places these people come from. Their priorities are a lot more immediate, and if any other Western state was easier to get to, they'd go there.

The days of people viewing US as a shining beacon of freedom are long over, but it remains a stable nation with economic opportunities. That's all that's required for immigrants to want to come, it's not a very high bar.

Being subject to ignorant racism probably ranks higher on the scale than, say, watching your family murdered for a vendetta, watching your children die from easily preventable diseases or having to walk hours to the local well.

Tell you what - maybe we should set up a trade program whereby US citizens experience life in an immigrant's country for 90 days while they come here. I suspect a large shift in perception.

Immigration and boarder laws are similar all over the world.. only western countries get called racist..

Because the people there who complain a) have never lived anywhere else in the world, b) have no knowledge of history and c) have no sense of gratitude.

also if the right was so racist why aren't they forcing blacks and Hispanics out of the party instead of welcoming them them with open arms.

Granted, you might get run over, but despite Trump's grumbling, we still have a thing about free speech and some reticence about using the criminal Justice department for suppressing free speech and punishing political opposition.

It's.... get this... part of our SYSTEM to resist abuse of citizens, and even to some degree, people.


Sure, it's not perfect, and some folks don't like it when it gets in their way and want to change it, but it really does have its appeal.

Kind of like asking Jews why the fled to Russia from Nazi territory.

Because the jobs that the local white folk wont touch and the fact that drugs are a lifestyle choice and not the only way to feed your family makes is their best option.
America is not the worst country in the world. There are a lot of poor African and South American countries much worse off. Some of them due to having done deals with America.

As Warren Buffet said “when you are born in America you have already won the lottery”. Or words to that effect.
I am also aware that things were easier for me because I am a white male i America.

It's amazing that blacks are still taking orders from the party of slavery till this very day. Because Lord knows it's been working out so well for them

Chances are they come, more likely to escape oppression and maltreatment at home.
Plus the fact that the USA is an easy country to go missing in if you're wanted by authorities at home.

Because someone who makes $8 (USD) an hour in India doing IT work can make $50,000 in the United States.

I don't think you would deny that racism exists even if some exaggerate that reality.

Because it's one of the strongest economies. Why do you think immigrate mostly? It's for work. Working people don't really have nationalities. We go where we get pay.
