So? Trump still did his Business as planned in UK... Protestors protested. For what? All u did is waste time n energy over nothing.

Yes we live in a free country but wha d heck did you gain from a pointless protest?
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
I seen to remember similar comments were made about the Vietnam war protests when they first started ...
Graylight · 51-55, F
@ozgirl512 Damn hippies. And why don't they get a haircut?
Graylight · 51-55, F
Because you don't agree with the protest, it was a pointless waste of time? Fascinating.
Nimbus · M
About 0.5% of the population protested.
Hardly representative.
@Ynotisay
I am sure it wasn’t Kelly.
*Pout*
Ynotisay · M
@SomeLikeItHot It was Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Do you know who she is?
@Ynotisay
Sarah did have a press release before she runs away from her job.
She doesn’t want to quit her Mexican fare and it just wasn’t worth it.
Adaydreambeliever · 56-60, F
Oh and let's get this straight.. he wasn't here to do *Business* he was here INVITED as a guest.. His *Business* was to talk to and build a working relationship with our government.. Insulting the government is hardly good business practice.. especially when you then have to retract the shite you spouted and pretend you didnt say it.. Now that looks REAL impressive doesn't it.. great business plan Strumpet.. no wonder you have had so many failed businesses and bankruptcies

@Adaydreambeliever shut up...I'm trying to have a birthday party

Adaydreambeliever · 56-60, F
@SW-User hmm and I am stopping you how? Your point lacks logic... if you are trying to have a birthday party.. then surely you would be too busy to read, much less care about what I write.. I am so happy that I, and what I say, is that important to you..

They’ve already pulled the heads off their teddy bears ... so now they’re really gonna fix Trump and protest ! Most of those people were likely paid, just like they are here.

@QuixoticSoul They just love regurgitating the words of Glenn Beck and Alex Jones. There's no misinterpretation going on here. It's nonsense, but they didn't actually research any of this. They're just saying what others told them. This is the quote they're referring to:
Kroft: “My understanding is that you went … went out, in fact, and helped in the confiscation of property from the Jews.”

Soros: “Yes, that’s right. Yes.”

Kroft: “I mean, that’s — that sounds like an experience that would send lots of people to the psychiatric couch for many, many years. Was it difficult?”

Soros: “Not, not at all. Not at all. Maybe as a child you don’t … you don’t see the connection. But it was — it created no — no problem at all.”

Kroft: “No feeling of guilt?”

Soros: “No.”

Kroft: “For example, that, ‘I’m Jewish, and here I am, watching these people go. I could just as easily be these, I should be there.’ None of that?”

Soros: “Well, of course, … I could be on the other side or I could be the one from whom the thing is being taken away. But there was no sense that I shouldn’t be there, because that was — well, actually, in a funny way, it’s just like in the markets — that if I weren’t there — of course, I wasn’t doing it, but somebody else would — would — would be taking it away anyhow. And it was the — whether I was there or not, I was only a spectator, the property was being taken away. So the — I had no role in taking away that property. So I had no sense of guilt.“
From this interview, which they're strangely hesitant to post in their own defense(likely because it's an obvious attack piece): https://ia801906.us.archive.org/27/items/George_Soros_1998_60_Minutes_Interview/George_Soros_1998_60_Minutes_Interview.mp4

Which is conveniently leaving out core details of what Soros was going through at the time he was brought along during the seizing of said goods. As was detailed in Soros' own biography.
Shortly after George went to live with Baumbach, the man was assigned to take inventory on the vast estate of Mor Kornfeld, an extremely wealthy aristocrat of Jewish origin. The Kornfeld family had the wealth, wisdom, and connections to be able to leave some of its belongings behind in exchange for permission to make their way to Lisbon. Baumbach was ordered to go to the Kornfeld estate and inventory the artworks, furnishings, and other property. Rather than leave his “godson” behind in Budapest for three days, he took the boy with him. As Baumbach itemized the material, George walked around the grounds and spent time with Kornfeld’s staff. It was his first visit to such a mansion, and the first time he rode a horse. He collaborated with no one and he paid attention to what he understood to be his primary responsibility: making sure that no one doubted that he was Sandor Kiss [Soros’s assumed identity]. Among his practical concerns was to make sure that no one saw him pee.
The incident was also mentioned in Soros' father's autobiography.
Baufluss[a pseudonym for Baumbach] was charged by the ministry with inventorying confiscated Jewish estates. He was home only at weekends; the rest of his time he spent taking inventory in the provinces. During the week George passed his time alone in Baufluss’ s apartment. Lacking anything else to do, he caught the attention of some of his schoolmates, who lived in the building across the way. Communicating by hand signals, they seemed surprised to see him holed up in somebody else’s house. The following week the kind-hearted Baufluss, in an effort to cheer the unhappy lad up, took him off with him to the provinces. At the time he was working in Transdanubia, west of Budapest, on the model estate of a Jewish aristocrat, Baron Moric Kornfeld. There they were wined and dined by what was left of the staff. George also met several other ministry officials, who immediately took a liking to the young man, the alleged godson of Mr Baufluss. He even helped with the inventory. Surrounded by good company, he quickly regained his spirits. On Saturday he returned to Budapest.
Soros has even explained exactly what he meant by it being a "formative positive experience" in his book Age of Fallibility.
1944 became the formative experience of my life. I was fourteen and I had boundless admiration for my father. I absorbed and adopted his view of the world wholesale. As I have often said, the year of German occupation was a strangely positive experience for me. We were confronted by mortal danger and people perished all around us, but we managed not only to survive but to emerge victorious because we were able to help so many others. We were on the side of the angels and we triumphed against overwhelming odds. What more can a fourteen-year-old ask for?
Tl;dr It's not really worth the effort trying to get debate from someone who won't even try to look for verifiable truths.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@TexChik Lol, you mean inconvenient history, of course 😂 - but obviously a big bad 14 year old Nazi collaborator evicting Jews and stealing their stuff while laughing maniacally is more accurate.
Northwest · M
Did the protests inconvenience you in any way, shape or form? You seem really butt hurt about peaceful expression of opinion.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
People demonstrated that we live in a free country where we are allowed to show that certain behaviours are unacceptable to many.
They demonstrated that you can make a peaceful protest despite all the soppy comments an idiot can make to the contrary.

And the entire worlds media will go home and report the same !
It is the coolest display I have EVER witnessed.

Trump, outnumbered, walked into those aristocrat halls ... and told them common sense.

Then a bunch of folks ran around silly ... protesting against America... forgetting the war was over ... and They had lost.

He makes me proud!
Adaydreambeliever · 56-60, F
@questionWeaver War???? You are talking about a titchy, pretty insignificant squabble where we knew we should let have your own country, yonks and yonks ago?? Jeeze you need to remember that while it was a big deal to you guys it was just one of many for us.. and you really need to stop harping on about it.. many of us celebrate your 4th July because - why not.. WE don't hold a grudge but seems you do!
As for talking common sense.. yea right that was why he had to retract what he said and pretend he didnt say it.. way to go.. such a leader, such an impressive diplomat..
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@questionWeaver Sorry QW, but you seem to have lost all grasp of reason on this one...

@FreeSpirit1 yea in connection with the big imbecilic tantrum throwing baby - in reality it should make all those blind fools following him wonder just why even we hate him... but it doesn't make them wonder because.... they don't even have that ability.. . I wasn't the one saying I don't insult the deranged orange loony,.. you were the one using pointless passive aggressive language.. I hate to be disrespectful but... It didn't wash and I called you out on it.. That you cannot see what you did just says it all.. I think I will take my leave now as really, there's no point in discussing this with someone who totally cannot even understand the concept of disrespect when they themselves used that word, or tell the difference between a threat and on being asked specifically if they would punch him, saying they would.. There's no reasoning with people like that..
FreeSpirit1 · 51-55, F

TexChik · F
@FreeSpirit1 must be why I can see their replies ... they made my blocked list
Ynotisay · M
You've never given enough of a shit to protest something you disagree with? Well, I guess apathy is part of living in a free society too.
kate21 · 26-30, F
To let the world know we’re not like him or those who put him in office or those who enable him.
Organized protests are never a waste of time. Just ask the tea party.
lorne13 · 61-69, M
exactly as planned he insulted everyone and ran away
It’s never a waste of time to protest.
Adaydreambeliever · 56-60, F
Satisfaction and fun.. what, you have no sense of humour? We all know Strumpet has a massive need to be complimented constantly... he has a very fragile ego... Unless you are saying he is so thick he didn't even notice people hate him here? The man is a retard... and what kind of idiot insults his hosts? Oh yea one with ZERO intelligence and minus a million in terms of diplomatic savvy.. SO then when the dipstick actually realised what he'd done, (insult THE closest and sometimes ONLY ally America has, [unless you now count Russia lol]) he pretended he DIDN'T do it and it's fake news.. WTF we SAW you blabbing your big ugly mouth off on tv.. Either he is the biggest idiot ever or his fans are because they believe that shit.
katielass · F
Well, it's usually for nothing. Not always but usually. Take the idiot protestors who were out protesting before Trump even named his SC nominee. Did they actually think they could change anything, say tell Kennedy he can't retire (when in fact he told Scalia a few years ago he was waiting for a republican president to retire) or tell Trump who he can nominate? They have no power to do anything about it. They act like third world people.
Adaydreambeliever · 56-60, F
[@katielass - Protesting is about.... protesting.. as in the definition is to voice/demonstrate that you disagree with something.. it IS of itself.. it sends a message that people disapprove... and in enormous numbers in a democracy that SHOULD count.. because the government are there to represent the people.. however, the point of protesting is to PROTEST..

When did lefties ever make sense?
Adaydreambeliever · 56-60, F
@Gumba1000 Oh super brain of the year... Most of the UK aren't lefties or anythingy's - we just hate useless, ugly, ill-mannered, ignorant loonies who are practically illiterate spouting shit left right and centre... Oh and we don't all feel the need to go ranting about lefties like the illiterate right
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
Unfortunately terms like "Lefty" are relative. and it is often said the American Eagle has two right wings. Since the Republican have moved even further to the right, it can now be said that they made the German National Socialists look "Lefty" And what passes there for news used to be called propaganda... But all this will pass... The nation is living on borrowed time as a Superpower and Trump is forcing it to burn out faster...@Adaydreambeliever
BatRinseRepeat · 31-35, F
And your idea of a successful protest would be ...?
Whoa! It feel good, you knew that it would now
It feel good, the Brits knew that it would now
So good, so good, Trump's got you!
OW!
Adaydreambeliever · 56-60, F
@Elandra77 the protests weren't trying to prove anything.. not sure where that idea comes from? We don't care that much, we just hate him because he is ugly, ill-mannered, useless, an idiot, a total joke and shaming America.. SO all we wanted to prove is that enough of us were willing to stand out there even thought HE WAS SHIELDED FROM THE PROTESTS to show how much we hate him.. job done.. The only energy he inspires is disgust and revulsion...
@Adaydreambeliever So it was pretty much people with time on their hands that care more about how a leader looks of another nation than issues of their own country? And rather than try to address the wrongs of the UK or EU you waste your time trying to deface another leader? You all sound a bit misguided.
Adaydreambeliever · 56-60, F
@Elandra77 Leader??? well that's questionable.. as is your twisting my words, There are a million reasons why WE and your own people hate him.. His lying, his actions in splitting children from parents, his danger to the world with his utterly incompetent diplomacy skills (cite the latest, insulting his HOST and most loyal ally) the damage he does to the environment, the damage to the reputation of America. The list goes on.. Personally I hate him because he is ignorant, illiterate and has NO class.. but yes there are more than enough reasons to protest about the scum besides that.
And as to our own issues.. we are addressing them and we are talking about them openly.. which is more than that liar and those who blindly believe him are doing.. pretending he isn't hated round the world and pretending he is doing a great job.. PS WE don't have to sort out the EU.. .remember!!!!

@wildbill83 hmm seems you might be one of a few who thinks that... the evidence is before your eyes.. one of your own harping on about something that happened over 200 years ago as if it were yesterday and as if WE cared!! In actual fact, there were many Brits who sided with your lot and said you should be allowed to fly free and start running your fledgling country... But hey, let's not let facts and reality get in the way of a grudge you and others STILL seem to hold..
wildbill83 · 36-40, M
@Adaydreambeliever grudge? lol... you're the one so petty about politics, as if you believe yourselves to know whats best for OUR country.

Had my grandfathers and those that served with them known what little regard you hold for our country and leaders today, your country would be in ashes...

But whatever, believe what you wish... one day your arrogance will lead you to ruin again, and maybe us lowly Americans will be too busy to come to your aid...
