Why is it liberals allow you to have your own opinion as long as it matches theirs?

I really enjoy how completely judgemental they are. Heaven forbid I actually use common sense and have an open mind

As has already been pointed out, “liberals” in modern usage are not liberal at all.
HerKing · 61-69, M
@SW-User Oh to have that innocence. Sadly though I'm much older much more cynical, and deeply saddened by the way the world is. It isn't liberal enough, because if it was, there wouldn't be a quasi despotic ruler in the WH.
SW-User
@HerKing you've got a socially inept moron in the WH trying to implement the platform he was elected on - with mediocre results -due to the checks and balances within the system
HerKing · 61-69, M
@SW-User which he's trying his best to overturn. Nunes his best pet bitch has a new job, and it isn't to represent his constituants in CA. No, its to use the power of subpeona to get info from a prosecution to inform a possible defendent and probably existing ones. Since when in legal history has a sitting leader used the legislature to work against a justice department? And why if he's innocent? Trump (and Flynn-the Turkish and Russian agent) said anyone pleading the 5th is guilty. Cohen is pleading the 5th.

The rationale behind most Liberal beliefs isn't about how good their ideas are but about how bad people who disagree with them are. Look at what they call success in Cuba and Venezuela. Even if their "share the wealth" amounts to share the misery, their real pride comes with their sharing that misery with the wealthy 3% they like to blame their misery on.

Liberals deplore success so much that they are willing to slay the goose that lays golden eggs.

Just disagreeing make you their enemy.

@Heartlander another troll post
Heartlander · 80-89, M
@ladycae :)

Hi Lady, did you see the video of the old Huey P Long speech I posted elsewhere? Where Long ranted over and over about the 4% cheating everyone else out of their share of the wealth?

If I recall my American history, Franklin Roosevelt, then, was worried that Huey P Long would pass him on the left, the far left. So Huey P Long was often called a Fascist.

Fascism: (per Webster) "...a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition."

Go listen to Obama's speeches and compare them to Long's. Sound alike, eh? Add in the Democrat's suppression of opposition and the disregard for the individual in favor of :sharing the wealth:, and ....

Maybe it's time to start referring to the present Democrat party as the Fascist Party?

@Heartlander maybe it's time you stopped trolling
Do you really think that's why people get fed up with you?
MethDozer · M
@MistyCee lmao
@MistyCee oh no. There are many other reasons
@Harley4Life just checking.

At least you're not generalising.....(HUGE eye roll)
Why is it that only ideological fanatics think their opinions are worth something more than the hot air flowing across their vocal chords?

@CopperCicada
Why is it that only ideological fanatics think their opinions are worth something more than the hot air flowing across their vocal chords?
Many of them live in bubbles, surrounded by friends and family that all think alike and thereby "validating" that they are right since "everyone" shares their opinions.
Ynotisay · M
But your open mind doesn't apply to liberals now, does it?
Perfect comment man. HA.
@Ynotisay lol actually it does. Just because I disagree does not mean I have a closed mind
Ynotisay · M
@Harley4Life OK man. Just a little something to throw out there. The word "some" is pretty powerful. For instance, "Why is it some Conservatives allow you to have your own opinion as long as it matches theirs?" It's a good word.
Why is it that when someone disagrees with you, you assume they’re wrong?
@Notmesam i don't.
Graylight · 51-55, F
Both sides are intractable in this divisive culture right now. To say one side is flexible and the other rigid is to add to the divisiveness.
SW-User
@SW-User *eye roll*
Graylight · 51-55, F
@SW-User See now, I could say the same. I really think it happens abundantly on both sides.
SW-User
@Graylight I can only talk to my experience as an old school left leaning libertarian. I find both sides can be equally dogmatic and condescending but only one side is on some kind of rabid moral high where everyone who disagrees with them (even on one thing out of five) is a bad person. Smacks of re-education camps.

liberals do not dictate my opinion or anything else to do with me.
MethDozer · M
Come say that about liberals, liberals say that about cons. Both are right and both are full of shit about this.
