Were you crying or celebrating a year ago?

Trump won :D and he is gonna be your president for the next 8 years 😍

MasterLee · 56-60, M
I was glad Hillary lost
TallJames · 46-50, M
@swirlie lowest unemployment rate since 1973. 4 trillion dollars added to the value of the stock market. Pulled us out of the Paris accord which was written in a way to be very unfair to America and 3rd world countries. Got us out of the tpp. And having possibly the most successful and productive Asian trip in the history of the presidency.

Again educate me.

@TallJames they just love to whine

I was celebrating then and I'm still celebrating now. We did it. We're the winners. America's finally great again.
TallJames · 46-50, M
@swirlie trump losses? I am unaware of this.
TallJames · 46-50, M
@swirlie get your facts straight. Hillary stole the election from Bernie and was trying to steel it from trump. Do a google search on the Harvard study on how many dead people voted. 3.1 million and nearly all democrat. There was also a study on the number of illegals who voted. There is a video by okeefe where a dnc exec was bussing people to different states so they could vote in multiple states. He also talked about how they coached individuals to do it too. Again get your facts straight.

@TallJames Yeah, a video by James O'Keefe, one of the most honest journalists in America.

I don’t know what you mean by “Obama call home”@swirlie
swirlie · 31-35, F
@shockerllnl

At very popular meeting places around the world with the exception of America, well-heeled travelers would go to a popular meeting place at each of those locations and leave behind a hand-written note on a wall of a train station for example, in the hopes that an old distant friend whom he knew would eventually make it to that same place as well and find the note.

When that old friend would then travel to a place like Paris or Nice or Istanbul or to a popular island in Greece, he or she would purposely go to the train station and read all the notes to see if one was left behind for them specifically. This also occurred in the late `60's and early `70's when teenagers would back-pack across Europe and would often meet up in places like Morocco or Tangiers. That communications protocol still exists today, because many well-heeled travelers of today do not have listed telephone numbers, nor can they be found anywhere in google search.

If there was an urgency found written in the note for that old friend to then contact his buddy who left the note, the notes would usually read something like:

"Code name 'Jack-be-nimble', please contact code name 'Jack-be-quick' when you arrive in London... and leave your number at my dear mother's house in St Johns Wood!". Those two code names were typical jargon of WWII Vets who had served together overseas and whom only those two guys would understand who each other was through prior agreement. That mutual agreement was usually made as they huddled together in the trenches.

In the case of a family member wanting to contact another distant family member to inform them of an urgent family matter that is negatively impacting their family back home, the note would read something like:

"Obama, call home..."

It was on the tv playing & family just said... "oooh shittt" we live far away with a okayish prime minister... so... not our issue
Xuan12 · 31-35, M
Mostly face palming. One year in and so far I'm right. He doesn't know how to get anything done.
Xuan12 · 31-35, M
@TallJames I don't know much about Graham. But it does look absurd, congress trying to repeal the ACA for 8 years, with over 50 votes on the issue. Finally Trump comes along and says, "Let's do it". And nothing happens, twice. He also said he had a plan that would give high quality, inexpensive healthcare to everyone, why doesn't he propose that plan? I don't think any of them have anything up their sleeve. Words without substance.
TallJames · 46-50, M
He proposed his plan. They snubbed there collective noses at it.
Xuan12 · 31-35, M
@TallJames What was in it?
MasterLee · 56-60, M
I was relieved.
ladycae · 100+, F

i dont think he wants a second term. he's kind of messing up the tax system.
Newandimproved · 61-69, M
he should last out the first term - way to early to see if he'll last longer

Just to let you know, it might be more than that if ww3 to happen.

I was crying but nothing to do with the election
swirlie · 31-35, F
Trump's approval rating dropped to 32% today, which was a further decrease initiated by Republicans of all people. That's what happens when a President can talk the talk but can't walk the talk! Eventually, even his Base calls him out!
swirlie · 31-35, F
@TheProphet

His base is what keeps his approval rating at 32% and falling. The worst thing that can happen for Trump is for his base to become educated.
TallJames · 46-50, M
@swirlie I think 2016 clearly showed the polls can't be trusted. If they could then Hillary would be president.
TallJames · 46-50, M
@swirlie educate me.
swirlie · 31-35, F
Obviously, you've been out of town lately...
