Do you "secretly agree" with extremists?

I hear a lot of people say that there isn't enough condemnation of extremists. Muslims don't condemn ISIS, leftists don't condemn anti-fa, rightists don't condemn neo-Nazis, etc.

Is that because y'all secretly agree with them?

People don't speak up against extremism because it is not affecting them directly. They are busy solving the issues that surround them. They have their own burdens.

Some studies show that when injustice happens in the presence of an individual, the probability of him reacting emotionally is higher than when he is reading about it online or watching it on the news.

For a long time, I was extremely angry at some Muslims, Arabs specifically, for being indifferent when my family experienced a loss because of extremism. For hiding in their houses instead of going out and helping. But they were scared , not for their own lives, there are worse things than death that can happen like witnessing the suffering of your loved ones. They had no weapons to help too. The same goes for ISIS; There are and were kurdish muslims fighting the groups though.

I am still angry sometimes but I understand it's human nature to prioritize the self.

I am a leftist and I condemn antifa. Muslim leaders condemn terrorism and Google brings up hundreds of examples.

The current President of America won't condemn white supremacist terrorism.

I don't think Trump supporters agree with what happened in Charlottesville but a lot of them seem keen to ignore it. Some have posted the Soros conspiracy theory or claim the events are fake news because they don't want to ask painful questions about the ideological connection between Trumpism and the extreme right.

Trump is not a white supremacist but all of the group's involved in Unite the Right like Donald Trump and see him as the acceptable face of their own themes and their own mission. Richard (Hail Trump) Spencer has said that immigration is a race issue and he is not necessarily wrong on that point.

The right wing nationalist movement exists in a spectrum from the right of the GOP to neo NAZIS. Differences exist on strategy, outlook and what is deemed acceptable though there is clear thematic overlap. The Overton Window is shifting too and what we're once considered crank ideas are already part of mainstream discourse. This process could well continue.

Trump supporters are angry but are blaming the wrong targets and in doing so they are being carried on a wave which could lead to a darker place.

The problem isn't that simple but it's a really valid question. I would condemn Neo Nazi's somewhat more and even agree with liberals if the left didn't willingly throw the word Nazi out at literally fucking everyone. My god they did that to a black gay guy once. Like.. their pretty daft.

@SatanBurger I think its important that people like you do condemn neo-Nazis. It has attached itself to Trump and he is not distancing himself.

@Burnley123 Thanks. I see what you're saying. It's just hard to try to find a place to agree with someone when they have valid points but also say hateful things to you. It's sort of like a spouse who hits me and then afterwards says "listen to me." LOL. I'm being somewhat exaggerating but it feels like that.

@SatanBurger I get that. Not all Trump supporters are racist. Some are though and moderate Trump supporters need to call that out.

I condemn all hatred.
I won't let someone tell me I am apart of something, because I don't agree with their opinion on the subject.
I don't secretly agree to any ideology that preaches hatred or violence as a mean of conversion.

I think that people regardless of their beliefs stand up for what's right and wrong. The rest follow like sheep 🐑

I think all Muslims agree with each other. They have the people who are "moderates who do nothing but spread the ideology to the "infidels;" then you have the "extremists" like ISIS that carry out the physical acts of terror. There is no Muslim that doesn't believe the Koran. If they don't, they are like the infidels.

If a person supports violence then they do not believe in peaceful cohabitation
