Do you "secretly agree" with extremists?

I hear a lot of people say that there isn't enough condemnation of extremists. Muslims don't condemn ISIS, leftists don't condemn anti-fa, rightists don't condemn neo-Nazis, etc.

Is that because y'all secretly agree with them?

I am a leftist and I condemn antifa. Muslim leaders condemn terrorism and Google brings up hundreds of examples.

The current President of America won't condemn white supremacist terrorism.

I don't think Trump supporters agree with what happened in Charlottesville but a lot of them seem keen to ignore it. Some have posted the Soros conspiracy theory or claim the events are fake news because they don't want to ask painful questions about the ideological connection between Trumpism and the extreme right.

Trump is not a white supremacist but all of the group's involved in Unite the Right like Donald Trump and see him as the acceptable face of their own themes and their own mission. Richard (Hail Trump) Spencer has said that immigration is a race issue and he is not necessarily wrong on that point.

The right wing nationalist movement exists in a spectrum from the right of the GOP to neo NAZIS. Differences exist on strategy, outlook and what is deemed acceptable though there is clear thematic overlap. The Overton Window is shifting too and what we're once considered crank ideas are already part of mainstream discourse. This process could well continue.

Trump supporters are angry but are blaming the wrong targets and in doing so they are being carried on a wave which could lead to a darker place.
