Do you "secretly agree" with extremists?

I hear a lot of people say that there isn't enough condemnation of extremists. Muslims don't condemn ISIS, leftists don't condemn anti-fa, rightists don't condemn neo-Nazis, etc.

Is that because y'all secretly agree with them?

People don't speak up against extremism because it is not affecting them directly. They are busy solving the issues that surround them. They have their own burdens.

Some studies show that when injustice happens in the presence of an individual, the probability of him reacting emotionally is higher than when he is reading about it online or watching it on the news.

For a long time, I was extremely angry at some Muslims, Arabs specifically, for being indifferent when my family experienced a loss because of extremism. For hiding in their houses instead of going out and helping. But they were scared , not for their own lives, there are worse things than death that can happen like witnessing the suffering of your loved ones. They had no weapons to help too. The same goes for ISIS; There are and were kurdish muslims fighting the groups though.

I am still angry sometimes but I understand it's human nature to prioritize the self.
