I will go to my aunt's funeral. I plan to wear black shorts which are not too short, just above the knees. My mom says it is inappropriate to wear shorts at a funeral. What do you think?

cinnamon yes I think it was the right thing. It was a normal funeral, she wasn't very close to me but of course I felt sorry for her and her children. She was only 45.
