I will go to my aunt's funeral. I plan to wear black shorts which are not too short, just above the knees. My mom says it is inappropriate to wear shorts at a funeral. What do you think?

The funeral is about the survivors and you are one of the survivors .... there is much to be said about respecting your mother, your aunt, and others ..... but you also need to respect yourself ..... and show that respect in what you chose to wear .... Sometimes it's alright to be less comfortable yourself so that others are themselves ..... consider it and do what you think you should ....
