I will go to my aunt's funeral. I plan to wear black shorts which are not too short, just above the knees. My mom says it is inappropriate to wear shorts at a funeral. What do you think?

@Oconnor: No problem. I agree that I shouldn't be dressed at 16 like a 10 or 11 year-old. (Although now I read from some kids that they are kept in shorts even at 16 or 17 all year). I told mom that I plan to wear my skirt and she says that is appropriate.
