I will go to my aunt's funeral. I plan to wear black shorts which are not too short, just above the knees. My mom says it is inappropriate to wear shorts at a funeral. What do you think?

enellie - Absolutely correct on assuming your country of origin. Sorry for that. When I refer to "child," I mean more like 3-11.

No matter what, focus on the service and be of what help you can to others. Sorry for your loss. If your aunt's life is celebrated, it really doesn't matter what you're wearing in the end.
