I Have Been In Prison

I got sent to prison for four years when I turned eighteen because of some stupid mistakes I made which deserves its own experience when I feel comfortable to talk about it here.

Prison taught me a lot of things about myself, the world and respect, it teaches you how to appreciate the simple things of being free. being able to go anywhere I wanted and having some alone time.

I know how valuable those are now.

I was released very recently, so I am still adjusting to being out of prison, four years is a long time of routine and structure.

I want to be a better person now and stay on the right track, I told myself every holiday, christmas, new year. Its how I coped with being away from family on those days.

There’s a lot I want to talk about with my experience in prison, so I will probably be posting here again sometime in the future. It’s very therapeutic for me to talk about it.

See you around.

Looking forward to your posts
Just yesterday I was thinking
after a LONG stint in jail
and the person steps out of the gate
with no family to go to
how very lost they must feel
or do they have support from the prison system?
@SW-User I know a lot of people go back to crime because they don’t have much support at all.

Most of their friends would be from the lifestyle they had in the past or they just can’t adjust to being free.

Its very difficult to get a good job to support yourself aswell.
