I was Baby June in a production of Gypsy in MIchigan a couple years ago. Well, no... I understudied for it and the girl in the role wasn't nice enough to break a leg or or get food poisoning or anything, so instead I was just one of her Newsboys. What held me back was my singing I think. I did the little girl voice and was told it was a bit "screechy". Oh well.
