We all yearn for having a loving relationship with our parents. When we don't then we tend to seek it from our romantic relationships as we grow older. That's a psychological fact.

It can be because of a lack of daddy attention or not. It could be a fetish or not.

I still crave male attention, whilst I did have lots of positive attention from my daddy as a little girl. Since school, I have been a sexual being, addicted to the male touch, which may be why I constantly want to feel wanted now. Pm if you want x

@FigNewton that is a good question, I guess its a little of both, I desire the attention first and then it leads to wanting pleasure from there
@Fatneasy That's probably the path to which I'm more familiar. There's a thrill in the "hunt"...but if the resulting pleasure is good, there's obvious thrills in growing within that.

My father wasn't around for like half my life but I don't have daddy issue .
But whatever floats your boat .

The way you say you like men to be strongly attracted to you but you never let them have you seems to me to be more of a wanting of power over the Male.

I do not think getting or not getting daddy attention ,, makes you want men more some people just want to have more relations than others and nothing wrong with that ,,, So just get out and enjoy life ,,, do what makes you Happy ,,,

@Katty1984 Enjoy as many as you want before you settle down ,, but then maybe you can get a guy like me that will enjoy letting you enjoy yourself with others ,,,,
A lot of the thrill is in drawing and receiving the attention. Once that attention gets older...more routine, then boredom sets in, thus a rush of new attention is needed. I understand that. I'm sure there's something psychological with regard to parents (fathers)...but I think some people just get a big rush from attention.

@Katty1984 I can certainly understand that. I've had a relationship or two (primarily online) where the premise was primarily giving the other attention and compliments. It's an ego boost. I guess I'm an attention whore too. :) Or a cookie.

Externally, from what your avatar shows, you are beautiful. You really don't allow us to see your inner beauty.

Approval. That's what everyone wants. It comes from you. Not anyone else.

Everyone feels like they're not good enough. I was there too till I realized I just had to stop doing more than I had to do for people. Like for example this advice I'm giving you is coming out of my own will because I was there too. I don't expect you to like my advice but I know it's good enough because it worked for me so even if you don't take it I'm satisfied after sending this comment.

I only got attention from either of my parents when I was getting abused, so now I have issues with being drawn to abusive people and I'm pretty desperate for attention too. Idk how much of it is a father/mother type of thing tho. I was treated badly and emotionally neglected by both of my parents but I usually just want to be abused by men and feel more desperate to get attention from women (I like men and women).
princero · 31-35, M
Nothing wrong with it.. I think it could be that the authority figure in your family was a man and it is natural to be attracted towards someone with power and gravitas... I don't know if it does apply to any type of attention.

In your case, it could be just a sense of being single and wanting to be with someone who would give you more attention. I am not sure it applies to only men.
