Some explanations:

1) Perhaps your best friend is jealous of how well you did and is hurt because she is not as good.

2) Maybe she is ACTUALLY upset about something else which happened between you OR
3) maybe she is actually upset about some situation which has nothing to do with you

and in either 2 or 3, she is taking this upset feeling out on you.

4) Maybe she is depressed and not feeling like supporting her best friend, right now... (really a form of #3).

Never mind her remarks. ALL great artist had to go through the pains of having to "arrive" in the art world. My brother did silly cartoons as a kid, my mom said, "You'll never amount to anything drawing those silly things"

Today he is famous and makes great money. Just ignore the naysayers and follow your own inspiration, explore all possibilities. Good luck hon.

OK this is the last time I am going to comment on one of your posts about this "best friend". As you describe her, she is a terrible friend and you can do better. Over and out.

She doesnt sound like much of a best friend to me. She sounds toxic and unsupportive. You don't need her!!
