I Have Seen a Bald Eagle

There were a couple flying nearby today and this one perched at the end of my yard for about twenty minutes.

we went to a raptor center in Alaska, they had a lot of them in recovery there. They are gorgeous animals.
This was taken with an inexpensive point and shoot:

Right on. You got lucky. There's a nest about a mile from my house in the forest and I hadn't seen one until a couple of weeks ago. Flew right over my head with a fish in its talons. Majestic and powerful. Hope it decides your tree is THE tree and comes back.

@Ynotisay I rather that not happen. Too many people slow down or stop to look at whitetail deer as it is, lol.

@wasityou HA. I hear ya'. I live in a mountain village that changes dramatically on the weekends when the visitors come. You probably sort of want the people to enjoy the deer and probably want them go the hell home. :)
