If its anything like the real kind I'd say skip it. Actually its not real in any way cause nobody's there, typed words and pounding keyboards are not REAL
They also work off scripts more than in real life 4 obvious reasons, which turns u into a bot-accomplice, not a needing-human being.
But many settle 4 it and who knows what happens? I'm not a fly on the wall,
but in general I'd say BEWARE
Also u have to remember that the flunkies turn to this cause they can't make enough money doing it in real life.

@Ladyred best thing are warmlines and other peer support projects
Therapists are strange and mostly sold-out and not particularly interested in your well being. Its a BUSINESS. The few excellent exceptions are overpriced and not available to the most needy people. Warmlines are listed on the internet and some are kind...maybe call 1 877 500-9276

Just get on a free group site there are plenty of people that will listen and help. I tried 7cupsofcoffee or something like that they got over three hundred dollars and the only advice they gave me was I should see a psychiatrist.

I have never done any kind of therapy.
Unless you count venting on here.

I'm not a fan of being online. Yes, it's good to bare your soul but other than facial expressions you can't see body language. In person feels more complete to me.

@SageWanderer I want an in-person meet with you one day.. (;
SageWanderer · 70-79, M
@Ladyred I'm sure stranger things have happened so one never knows.

@SageWanderer No one chooses...or so they say! (;

Being online is therapeutic for me.
Ladyred · 46-50, F
@Thatsright Why? Weren't you fearful of having the therapist who only cares about their paycheck?
Thatsright · 61-69, M
The therapy is just being online.
