I Think Piers Morgan Is An Annoying Loudmouth

I've never heard him say anything I've agreed with. That's a skill. Even through statistical chance you'd think one time we'd accidentally agree on something but no, he's a professional arsehole.

He has a morning show here and the main draw to the audience appears to be "Let's watch Piers Morgan make his female co-host uncomfortable for several hours while he channels Hitler at Nuremberg".

Today he came really close to saying something reasonable. Context: a couple of years ago there was a horrific tower fire here, and a lot of people died. Mostly from ethnic minorities and the lower class. It was a tragedy.

Today it's in the news again because yesterday on 'Bonfire night' some arseholes build a model of the tower along with vaguely brown cardboard cut outs of the victims hanging out the windows, and they burned it on their bonfire while laughing; they posted the video online and they've now been identified and arrested for a public order offense.

So they will get punished for being twats and then they can hopefully learn from their mistakes and get on with their lives.

Piers though, famously being a champion of the working class and minorites insisted that this was a shameful act (which I agree with) and these ANIMALS, these MONSTERS should be named in the press and shamed and everyone should know who they are and what they did and they should never be allowed to forget this thing they did.

Oh Piers, you fucking bellend. These are twats who think they're being funny, give them some community service, get them to meet some of the families of the victim so they can see that they're all actually human beings. I thought you, Piers, were a champion of free speech! Why are you suddenly so determined to punish these people when they made this disgusting joke? Is it because you don't care about anything except making people in your audience feel enraged?

I completely agree. Even when he says something i agree with, it makes me doubt it. He opens his mouth and before a sound comes out I already disagree.

@Burnley123 Piers Morgan could make me hate all of my loved ones simply by praising them.

Couldn't agree with you more. Piers Morgan is a total twat who has been fortunate enough to identify other twats that he can milk. He's made a career of it.

As to the father and son combo who thought that it was funny to mock the Grenfell Tower tragedy, you're right. They should be made to meet the survivors and the family members of those who died. They should be made to apologise and do some kind of service for the community which they maligned in this abhorrent way.

He is an arse but credit where credit is due, he did oppose the Iraq war and was one of the only establishment voices to say that.......as much as it galls me to say that.

@gol979 I didn't know he opposed it actually, I'll give him credit for that one. Then he went and ruined it though by falsifying evidence for a story about soldiers torturing people.

@CheshireCatalyst yes sir. I think he has well and truly used up his "points" for one good act

@gol979 If I remember correctly, he was Mirror editor at the time and the Mirror made a marketing decision to be centre left in order to appeal to working class labour voters disillusioned with Blair.

He's worked for Murdoch and is friends with Trump. Even if it wasn't for either of these facts, he'd still be an obnoxious twat. Sorry mate but I'm not letting him off.

I only know him from The Apprentice & his feud with Omarosa.
CheshireCatalyst · 36-40, M
@Selah he was on that?!
Selah ·
@CheshireCatalyst yes. It was amusing.
