Put a teaspoon of cider vinegar in their drinking water daily. They can have up to a tablespoon a day. Always start off slowly increasing slowly as too much can cause gas as well. One teaspoon might be sufficient

@Thevy29 My dog got into something she shouldn't have. It was horrible thought I was gonna lose her she was so sick. She recovered but had gastritis afterwards. I was up every hour letting her out as she had gas but she thought she had to move her bowels.. I did research and it said cider vinegar. I tried it worked and when I stopped she went back to gastritis.
What I read the vinegar is supposed to help with fleas, I didn't find that to be true. It also said it helps their joints, I hope that is true she is twelve years old.

Look at what you are feeding him. Soy in dry dog food is not conducive to silent bowels.
