I need to give Riff more love.

Yesterday was a particularly bad day for Riff. She'd been getting aggro from all sides from Smudge, she was hissed at, swiped at, growled at and just generally abused. She joined me on the sofa while Smudge was eating and buried her head in my leg. And sighed. When she surfaced she looked at me with big kitten eyes, I read that as, "just love me. Protect me. I'm little."
I just want them to get along. I'm tired of all this tension. It's rotten for everyone that lives here. (Me, and the two cats. )
