I have had times where I was starving for affection, and I think girls could smell that and it drove them away. After my divorce, I swore off women for 12 months and had a written plan for self improvement. Most of that being taking care of myself and doing the best work I could do. I think I need to go back to that plan again as things are starting to fall apart, dating for dummies by dr. Joy brown was a fantastic book, and read that about a year after my divorce, really complete advice as to reinventing yourself and preparing to date.
