crocs in Australia need culled .

I have been watching a film on Australias croc problem .What I cant understand , is if the croc population has exploded why dont they do as the USA has done with alligators and snakes and wage war on the crocs and pay people to kill the crocs for their meat and skins .I dont mean wipe them out but control the population as the USA does with alligators .
How many people and cattle have to die before the Australian Government come to their senses and realise there is a real problem .

There has been laws in Australia have prevented farmers from culling native pests. Especially kangaroos and salt water crocodiles. In the town I grew up in there have been more kangaroo attacks on livestock and bush walkers.
