I Have Very Strict Parents

for all the complaints i have about the strict house i grew up in i was never sent to bed super early. sometimes a bit early . . . but i dont see the point in having some one lay awake in bed for hours! usually makes for a **worse** nights sleep

Early bedtime, a ton of extra chores while grounded. Been there and hate that!

When either of our girls are grounded, it automatically comes with an early bedtime.

Yup. That's strict. What was worse was NOT being grounded and having a 10 pm curfew, with my parents picking me up at the door. Or not be allowed to go to football games...at all. Or not being allowed to go to the drive in movies with a carload of my cousins.

It depends your age and why you are grounded. I don't think that is strict at all to be honest.

My parents have passed be glad to have them back.

I suppose it depends on your age... if you are 15/16, that sounds a little too strict to me.... but some ground rules can be a good thing

Try no electronics at all, only school and home, homework, then they would find some crappy thing for you to clean up, had to pick up everything from the yard that was bigger then a cigarette butt, if they seen something you got a whipping, had to do the dishes and if on was put away and they was a speck of food on it you got a whipping and had to wash everything in the kitchen no matter what time of night. There's more but I think you have it ok, don't get me wrong it might feel bad to you but there is always something worse
