@OwnerOfMany i agree with that... i've had to cut certain people out of my life for the sake of my own health. These people are "family" based on blood line - though i'm much better and happier with the family that i have chosen for myself and i've been clear that i don't plan on going back there through my own choice in the matter.

@HootyTheNightOwl Lmbo. They've had mine for years, I'm sure. I worked for the census bureau decades ago. That made me a "government official." They take your fingerprints & all that. Later, signed up for medical case studies in college. (Smh@ my younger self.) And I've never committed a crime besides speeding anyways. So, hakuna matata for me, I guess!

Haven't done any ancestry tests. Don't intend to send me DNA off to companies like that until I feel confident enough in their handling of the data.
If I did though and that situation arose it wouldn't matter much to me. Sure, there'd be a few questions, like why I wasn't told earlier and such, but at the end of the day my family has raised me in a way that has never made me doubt that I was their own. That's good enough for me.
