I understand this perfectly.. he is going to a party with the kids from his first wife. and to not make your daughter feel left out, he is taking her too. this makes perfect sense to me. he got divorced from his ex for a reason. there is nothing sinister about this.

Hmmmm. Im not sure about that one? If its not something you would go to I can understand how you feel. Stay positive and think how proud your hubby feels taking your daughter along so that everyone knows and sees what a beautiful child you have had together.

It sounds like to me he is proud of her and is not taking her there to be mean if his ex is ok with it

My wife would put me in five dumpsters and at least two would be on fire.

I understand he is doing it for the kid, but it us an unnecessary uncomfortable situation.

Why is he going at all, let alone taking her?
