My husband is taking my daughter to a party at his ex’s house..

And I can’t seem to get my head around the whole situation. 😐
I understand this perfectly.. he is going to a party with the kids from his first wife. and to not make your daughter feel left out, he is taking her too. this makes perfect sense to me. he got divorced from his ex for a reason. there is nothing sinister about this.

I know...I’m not suggesting there’s anything underhand. Just surprised at my own feelings really..@looking4thesun
@SW-User sometimes we have these feelings that our partners are still interested in their ex's . and we let our emotions take over. just breath and realize he is being a great dad to all the kids. you got a keeper :)

Ideal hun, you've got a "inside" source. Get a full debrief.

Lmao! I get enough of that from my step kids!@Harriet03

Ah well. Can’t help how we feel about these things. You’re disturbed by both him and his ex on a regular basis so it makes sense you’d be bothered by this. At least Muffin should enjoy seeing her sibs. 🤗
SW-User
@JustNik I know. Which makes me feel mean for even being bothered by it.

@SW-User my lovely friend. You need to cut yourself some slack. It is okay to be human. 🤗❤️

Is your daughter also his daughter, and is the party for one of your daughter's half siblings?
SW-User
@VeronicaPrincess I know..I didn’t say anything just pretended to be happy for her fun but it’s making me feel depressed!!
VeronicaPrincess · 61-69
@SW-User If your support makes her happy, see that as a reason for some cheer of your own, sweetie - your husband, loving all of his children, is a good thing! 🤗

Thank you VP 🤗@VeronicaPrincess

Hmmmm. Im not sure about that one? If its not something you would go to I can understand how you feel. Stay positive and think how proud your hubby feels taking your daughter along so that everyone knows and sees what a beautiful child you have had together.

It sounds like to me he is proud of her and is not taking her there to be mean if his ex is ok with it
My wife would put me in five dumpsters and at least two would be on fire.

I understand he is doing it for the kid, but it us an unnecessary uncomfortable situation.
Why is he going at all, let alone taking her?
SW-User
@WittyKittyfeelinShitty it’s for the kids
@SW-User that's still a little uncomfortable to say the least
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
I wouldn't create issues that might not exist...
SW-User
@ozgirl512 oh I know..I didn’t say anything just processing stuff here to get it out and over with! X
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
@SW-User I must be honest and say in your mind .. Maybe he just saw it as an opportunity to make new friends and have some fun for your daughter
Lostpoet · M
What you weren't invited? Is that the real problem.🤔jk
SW-User
Ah, he wanted your daughter to be his chaperone.
daydeeo · 61-69, M
Perfectly understandable. Go for a walk.

So he's going for you daughter?
That's sweet of him :)
goagainsttheflow · 26-30, F
To me, that's pretty insulting.
MrPerditus1 · 61-69, M
Not sure I could either.
ArtieKat · M
I'm sure it'll be/was fine!
