DISRESPECTFUL ADULT CHILDREN?

Might have made my uncle hate me for calling him out on his rudeness with my grandmother...but somebody's gotta say something. Both my uncles live with my grandparents and have terrible mental health and drug/alcohol problems AND are absolutely disgustingly RUDE! No appreciation for anything or anyone. It breaks my heart and my grandparents just arnt assertive enough to call them out on their BS and deal with it. I don't want to see them being bullied, I don't want to see my nanny's self esteem shatter-but I do every time I'm there. Please friends I could really use some advice on this one...do I try and help? Is there any way to help people who just don't want it? Can my grandparents sanity be saved? How do you deal with adult kids?

Sorry but this is a codependent relationship between your uncles and your grandparents. Your grandparents are trying to do the right thing by their sons but they are not, this is enabling. All of them are to blame in this situation.

Sadly, lifelong habits are hard to break. Odds are they've been rude and ungrateful since childhood. To comfort YOU a bit, people get used to treatment like that and may not even see it through your eyes. If the uncles are freeloaders, you might make a small dent by taking your grandparents out for a meal and pointedly not inviting the uncles.

Stay strong. Sometimes, people just don't see straight because they're clouded by something. Be it impulsive addiction, greed, whatever it is. I think you did the right thing with telling them how you felt. I can't stand bullying or disrespecting people older or weaker than you >:(

Idk i never had kids.. Some kids/people are bad and taje advantage of others tho.. Unfortunately.. Idk

Depends on why they are adult kids in the first place, I'm one but years of sexual abuse and torture kinda stunned my emotional development. I guessing these two don't have an issue like mine, so Idk what you should do, I would point out that Nanny does alot for them and she don't have too, I would confront them and make them feel two inches tall

This is called elder abuse. Those two lazy asses need to get into their own place and get a job. The police need to evict them.
